We spent nine days on Jekyll Island, Ga. The weather was great and I had eight days of great birding. I added 10 new birds to my life time list including the Pileated Woodpecker which I have been wanting to photograph for years.
My favorite shot of the trip was the Pileated Woodpecker shot during the Golden Hour. He had the marsh grasses behind him which turned the background to a beautiful yellow. I had that photograph printed 16x24 and framed it in a white barn wood frame.
Jekyll Island is a birders paradise, I hate that it is being so commercialized. There were so many more people there than the first time we were there over ten years ago.
